The International School of Beauty is a beauty therapy training provider with bases in Cheshire and Nantwich. They offer a range of full-time and short courses including massage therapy, nail technology and make-up artistry, with apprenticeship and student loan options available to students.
The International School of Beauty Therapy approached Project Storm Media in January 2019 and asked us to help them establish a clear brand as an accessible and desirable training provider and to raise awareness of their course offering.
They had a Facebook page that was relatively well-engaged by students. They had not yet tried Facebook advertising in order to expand their audience or reach potential new students. Their current website was very basic, incomplete and a little outdated

We improved upon the beauty school’s existing branding, so the school did not have to completely rebrand, and delivered a more stylised, modern approach to the look and feel of ISOBT. We established a clear set of brand guidelines to maintain consistency across everything from digital content to print media.
We began by implementing a social media marketing strategy across Facebook and Instagram, with targeted promoted content changing focus each month depending on upcoming events and courses. The beauty school did not have an Instagram account and since setting one up in January the account has gained 72 followers and received 1.4k engagements, and Facebook likes increased by 11% – all in a six-month period.
With the social media taken care of, we looked to improve the website. We made sure the new site was user friendly, had all the right course information and allowed potential students to find out about funding options and apply easily online. Feedback has been incredibly positive and students can now find all the information they need to start or improve their career. Users increased by 25% and sessions increased by 12% in the weeks following the launch of the new site.
We also created an exhibition pack for the beauty school, which included everything staff needed to promote ISOBT and have a professional presence at events.
